New Jersey Door Works offers a Fire Door Drop Test Program to ensure building owners and property managers stay in compliance with the most recent NFPA 80 standards.
It’s The Law!
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA80) states, “Fire door assemblies shall be inspected and tested not less than annually, and written record of the inspection shall be signed and kept for inspection by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).” This requirement applies to all fire doors – even those that are not used and remain in the closed position. The doors must be checked regularly for conditions that may affect the operation of the door.
